Xi’an International School’s previous consumer-grade WiFi could no longer support the performance demands of modern teaching, cloud learning, and online communication.

The school needed to upgrade its network while working around classroom availability, ensuring there was no disruption to lessons. It also needed a platform that could improve throughput, support future expansion, and simplify day-to-day management.

Xi’an International School deployed UniFi as a scalable campus networking platform, replacing its previous WiFi system through a staged migration with zero classroom downtime.

The deployment included 54 UniFi WiFi 6 access points, Pro-series switching, Dream Machine Pro gateways, 10G uplinks, and UniFi NVR infrastructure to prepare for future Protect integration. The new network was built in parallel with the old system, allowing each area to be upgraded only when classrooms were available.

Through the UniFi dashboard, the IT team can now manage WiFi settings, monitor performance, troubleshoot remotely, and provision guest access from a single interface.
