TOWD Shanghai Tongde is a high-end automotive customisation and service shop focused on BMW vehicles. As customer expectations grew around transparency, security, and digital service experiences, the business needed a more reliable and unified technology platform to support its workshop, clean room, customer areas, and day-to-day operations.
TOWD’s previous setup relied on a mixture of consumer-grade equipment, creating connectivity dropouts under load and making day-to-day troubleshooting more difficult.
The business also needed better visibility across key service areas, including modification bays, customer spaces, staff areas, and handover points. With no dedicated IT team, the solution had to be simple to manage, reliable under pressure, and visually aligned with a premium automotive environment.
TOWD adopted UniFi as a full-stack platform for networking, security, access control, storage, and digital display.

Three access points provide full-site WiFi coverage, while 18 cameras, licence plate recognition, UniFi Access, and on-premises AI processing help improve security, traceability, and customer handover workflows.
