The MikroTik FTC21 is a weatherproof fibre-to-copper converter designed for reliable Ethernet and fibre connectivity in outdoor and industrial environments. Housed in an IP55-rated enclosure, it is suitable for deployment in harsh conditions where standard media converters would not be sufficient. Despite its compact size, the FTC21 is designed to deliver more than basic conversion functionality.

Running a full version of SwOS Lite, the FTC21 provides smart management capabilities that allow administrators to monitor interfaces, manage VLANs, report via SNMP, apply basic traffic shaping, and implement advanced packet filtering using access control lists. This enables detailed control over traffic based on Layer 2, Layer 3, and Layer 4 conditions, making it suitable for managed network edge deployments.

Powering is flexible and efficient, with support for PoE-in and a DC power jack operating across a wide 24–57 V range. The device is highly energy efficient, consuming minimal power even when fully loaded. The FTC21 is supplied with a 48 V power adapter, PoE injector, and mounting accessories, allowing for straightforward installation in a variety of scenarios.
