For a retail environment where downtime can directly affect sales, customer experience, payment processing, and device demonstrations, the business needed a resilient, cost-effective network that could be replicated across stores without adding ongoing licensing costs.

Micro Center adopted UniFi as a standardised networking platform for its retail locations, creating a repeatable deployment model that could be rolled out across existing and new stores.

The UniFi stack includes Dream Machine Pro gateways, 10G cloud gateway infrastructure, LTE backup, PoE switching, and U6 Long-Range access points. Together, these support store WiFi, POS systems, staff operations, device demonstrations, and service department workloads.

Micro Center first refined the approach at its Columbus, Ohio store before using the model for a clean UniFi deployment at its Miami location, with devices pre-staged and configured ahead of installation.
