De LaSalle Academy’s previous camera system provided limited coverage, with around 10 cameras across selected hallways and entrances. This left blind spots across key areas of the campus, particularly where students transitioned between classes and outdoor spaces.

The school needed a more scalable solution that could improve visibility, protect student privacy, avoid cloud-based footage storage, and keep costs manageable for a private education environment.

De LaSalle Academy moved to UniFi Protect, expanding from limited surveillance to more than 50 cameras across the campus.

The deployment uses indoor and outdoor UniFi cameras, supported by two on-site UniFi NVRs that provide around 28 days of continuous HD recording. With footage stored locally and camera audio disabled, the school can improve safety while maintaining a privacy-conscious approach.

Authorised staff can view live feeds, review footage, search timeline events, and monitor the campus remotely through the UniFi Protect interface.
